DAAD in Cambodia
សូមស្វាគមន៍ – Welcome
In Cambodia, the DAAD offers scholarship programmes that are primarily aimed at supporting the training of future university lecturers and of academically trained specialists and managers from industry. Every year, the DAAD offers training and development courses for university managers as part of its DIES programmes.
The DAAD has been providing funding for the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) for 20 years. The university’s Department of Media and Communication (DMC) has offered a degree course in journalism and media studies since 2001. Together with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the DAAD also provides funding for short-term and long-term lecturers at the DMC. The aim is to promote a form of critical, precise and analytical public discourse through modern journalist training.
The DAAD long-term lecturer at the DMC can also be contacted directly with any questions about DAAD funding options.
The Ho Chi Minh City Information Centre also regularly holds doctoral studies events at Cambodian universities and participates in European higher education fairs in Cambodia in conjunction with DAAD Hanoi.
